Training Opportunities

Clinical Internship

The Treatment Center at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute offers internship and practicum opportunities for students in Masters and Doctoral level mental health programs. Our training program offers interns the opportunity to manage their own caseload of psychotherapy patients through scheduling, billing, and documentation, engage in work with the community, receive supervision from seasoned psychoanalytic practitioners, and participate in weekly seminars and case conferences. In addition to a solid grounding in psychotherapeutic technique and diagnostic assessment, interns will also have access to professional development trainings provided by the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute.

Interns may see clients and gain experience in all of our clinical settings: Adult Clinical Services, Child and Adolescent Clinical Services, Grief Services, and Community Initiatives.
